The Kissena Cycling Club is pleased to announce that Trimble Mountain Bikes has come onboard as a sponsor for the 2007 season.
Master frame builder Brent Trimble came to fame with his innovative Carbon Cross and Inverse 4 mountain bike frames in the late 80’s. Trimble returned to the scene in 2006 updating the Inverse 4 frame with a fresh design utilizing modern technology. The frames which are offered in both 26 and 29er configurations are a molded monocoque design using unidirectional carbon fiber resulting in a light, stiff and fast machine. The new bikes have already seen success during the 2006 season scoring numerous victories and podiums in the Texas Mountain Bike championship. Brent will be offering the frames at factory cost to Kissena members as well as component support.
The deal came about through new club member David Trimble who is Brent’s nephew and factory Trimble rider. Dave a recent NYC transplant from Houston, Texas campaigned the Trimble bike during the 2006 season emerging as the Texas Fall Cup Champion (sport 19-29).
While Kissena’s members focus primarily on the road, track, and cyclo-cross disciplines, the addition of a mountain bike frame sponsor should expand the club’s MTB presence in the region.
